hello bitKlavierists, it’s been a minute…
This is a brief announcement to let y’all know about a few things. First off, today is release day for two new albums of music for bitKlavier: Preludes for bitKlavier, and the bitKlavier Commissions. I’ve been writing about all this music on a parallel substack, if you want to learn more about them. Or you can listen right here:
and…
… both featuring the wonderful Cristina Altamura and Adam Sliwinski:
Simultaneously, we are releasing a new version of bitKlavier (3.5) that has many many bug fixes from the past year, along with all the sheet music and galleries for this new music; lots to play with, get it here.
Finally, it’s been quiet on THIS substack, but that does not mean development of bitKlavier has also gone quiet; quite the contrary! At the moment, Davis Polito is spearheading a brand-new version of bitKlavier, coded fresh from the ground up to allow for a range of new features (including VST hosting!) and future development possibilities. It will be a bit before this is available, and in the meantime we’ll continue to do minor updates to 3.5, and keep it updated during a transition period to the new version. Stay tuned!
